3.5 Stars This is a tough book for me to rate. Even though I finished it and I did like the premise and the characters, I just felt like there was something missing.By reading the blurb you have no idea what the book is actually going to be talking about, and I really don't want to spoil anything so I guess I can't really talk about the premise except to say that it was a slightly different take on an overdone subject but it was done very well. The characters were all great, specially Nadine. She had so many things she had to deal with, all the information from her visions, but she takes everything in stride and just keeps thinking of the next step and taking it. There is a love triangle in this book, which I didn't know about but it wasn't too bad I guess. The reason why it wasn't so, is because even though I did admire Nadine and liked the characters, it was all very abstract. I just couldn't connect to any of them. Which untimely led to me not caring which one she chose, cause I just didn't care either way.I don't know what exactly is wrong. This book has technically all the elements that would make it 4 or even 5 stars, and yet I just can't seem to care too much. I will be giving the second book a try, since I want to know what happens to the boys and how their story progresses, and I hope that by then I'll be able to appreciate this as much as it deserves.
